Tour Overview and Highlights

 (The following typify our activities in Thailand. The specific features of each tour are detailed in writing only in the final registration package)


Five distinct travel experiences

  • Bangkok (the capital region)
  • Chiang Mai (northern cultural center)
  • Rural agricultural village (organic farming cooperatives)
  • Mountain jungles (the Elephant Nature Park -- a sanctuary for abused and rescued elephants)
  • Mid-south region (Ban Krud - a beach side village)

Cross-cultural programs

  • A workshop on Thai culture with the country's leading authority.
  • Private discussions with several Thai Buddhist Monks.

Service activities

  • Care for rescued elephants at a nature preserve (meet with Lek Chaillert, international elephant conservationist).
  • Cultivate crops in the nurseries of a village organic farming cooperative
  • Help improve English language skills of children, parents and teachers at to one or more schools or orphanages.
  • Participate in special community development projects organized by Thai civic leaders and local service organizations.

Thai culture, heritage, natural resources, and spiritual sites and activities

  • World heritage sites in Bangkok and Chiang Mai
  • The ruins of Ayutthaya, ancient capital of Siam
  • River Day Cruise on Bangkok's Chao Praya River
  • The Royal Summer Palace at Bang Pa-in
  • The magnificent 40-meter tall outdoor Buddha of Wat Thang Sai
  • A Jade factory and Orchid Farm.
  • Performances of traditional Thai dance as well as off-beat contemporary entertainment
  • Buddhist blessing rituals in temples, monasteries and sanctuaries

Personal down-time options

  • Shopping in Thailand's famous markets, night bazaars, and urban malls.
  • Thai massage (not to be missed)
  • Personal side tours and night-life (Bangkok)
  • Sun bathing on a glorious stretch of beach on the Bay of Thailand
